BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Following service with the 10th (Mountain) Division of the U. S. Army in Germany, attended the Teterboro School of Aeronautics, completing the course in 1959. After working as a mechanic for Pan American Airlines, moved to Maine and was owner/operator of Preventive Maintenance Company of Portland, Maine for sixteen years. Preventive Maintenance was an automobile and truck repair and body shop with a specialty in heavy equipment repair. At the same time, also owned and operated a banner towing business at the Portland International Jetport, and was part-time maintenance and operations officer for a 40-member flying club (Baldeagles Flying Club, Inc., Portland) which owned two Cessna Skyhawks.

In May 1987 joined Ryan Insurance Services, Inc. as an aircraft damage consultant and adjuster. Handles aircraft damage claims and total losses and also handles liability cases to include bodily injuries up to and including fatals, salvage disposal and subrogation.

Also serves as President and partner of RYCO Aviation, Inc., an affiliate company specializing in the recovery, moving and secure storage of aircraft.

Holds a resident, all-lines adjuster's license in Maine, and holds non-resident adjuster's licenses for New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut and the Canadian Province of New Brunswick. Also holds a pilot's license with seaplane rating and high performance sign-off, and an aircraft mechanic's license issued by the Federal Aviation Administration.
